The problem is I just had no idea what to build and I just winged it. It's not bad, but I know I can do better. I am pleased with the result because it is EXACTLY what I was going for. I dug it up inside a cave to be safe from this pesky increased mob spawn rate in the jungle. View attachment 406702Īnd here's the fishing spot. So I kept generating new worlds until I found something that would fit my idea. And the jungle town is what actually got me back to play, or rather build in, Terraria. No matter what I did I just could not make a good jungle build and I just stopped playing for a while. But the jungle settlement is what originally broke me. The town mechanic is what finally pushed me to start building actual towns instead of wooden towers. The world I'm currently playing in is actually my second post-journey's end world. The town is built right above hell for the quickest drop.Īnother stop in my tour is the jungle town. It also has a "hellwell" which is well, a well that connects with hell. The town hosts a fishing spot for water and well as for lava fishing. After all, cobalt armor is japanese themed and it is blue. What would go well with neon blue moss? Sapphires of course! And since I was going with the theme of blue a quasi-japanese build was the perfect choice. Why not use it for an underground build? And then all of the puzzle pieces quickly fell together. But one day when I saw xenon moss and idea struct me. I didn't really want to make a hellevator (for aesthetic purposes) so I rushed a cave town to have access to hell. Originally this was just a small cave which's purpose was to host the cave pylon. Welcome to The Sapphire Cave, my second favourite town I've built. Now let's venture underground shall we? View attachment 406699 I keep the most useful things in my house's attic, but the rest of loot gets relegated here. View attachment 406698Īnd let's not forget the (mostly) organized storage. I'm not very good with with organic builds, but I think I did an allright job with the tree. It was a late addition to the town more for the sake of completion that usefulness. The holden willow is the original tree while sakura trees were planted later after I finally noticed that you can buy their saplings. Well, a bit to the right but still withing the park! I originally left this patch of land untouched because I had no idea you can actually plant those specials trees. The little park/garden you can see on the left is actually where the default spawn is. This was also my first attempt at building something other than the (in)famous wooden tower blocks. Most of the town are buildings I built at the start of the playthrough. The first build is the spawn where my house and forest town is located: View attachment 406696 If you want to read more about it here's the orignal post even though I don't write much in it. I posted it earlier, but since this post is meant to be a compilation of my biome builds here we go. Simply gorgeous.Īnd for the sake of completion here's the graveyard build I did. The aether effect is what makes this build. I also had trouble with finding materials for the tower. I had massive trouble with pulling of this crystal lake build. Luckily I managed to glue two non-bugged screenshots together. Whenever I tried doing so the lighting bugged out and everything was pitch black. Aether does seem to be buggy because I was not able to make a full screenshot of this place. I have no clue why, but every time I make a screen capture with the camera tool it just appears there. I also apologize for the black vertical bar where The Princess is. Honestly the screenshot does not do justice to the beauty of this place. The build that broke me just like the jungle broke me way back when I originally tried building towns. The first build is the spawn where my house and forest town is located: I also had a rough idea for the ancient manipulator build which would be a high-tech lab, but after rebuilding the Aether build like 4 times I just can't be bother to build it.Īnyway I should stop rambling and show you my builds so here we go. The sundial was to be inspired by classical era, something akin to a greek temple. The idea for them was twin ruins, one in a cave and one on a floating island. I have an idea for the moondial and I know I can make it work, but I just can't get the sundial build to look good. The reason it took me so long to get around to wrap things up (I originally wanted to make this post in December/January) were the troubles I had with making the Aether build. Originally I planned three more builds: cave with moondial, floating island with sundial and a build for ancient manipulator. I have made a town for every biome, including Aether. So I've finally got around to finishing my builds.
